The host: Finance Section of Aarhus BSS

The Finance section at Aarhus BSS, part of the Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University, conducts theoretical and empirical research across a broad set of fields within modern finance. Faculty members work on topics including asset pricing, household finance, corporate finance, quantitative finance, and financial institutions, reflecting a wide spectrum of approaches and methodologies within the discipline.

The Aarhus Finance Forum is intended to bring together researchers from all areas of finance represented within the section. By reflecting the current research interests of faculty members, the forum aims to foster discussion and exchange across different fields of finance and to provide a platform for presenting and developing excellent papers and research projects that promise to move the research frontier outward.

The venue: The university city of Aarhus University

The campus is located directly adjacent to the city centre, making it easy to combine academic activities with Aarhus’ vibrant urban life, cafés, and cultural attractions—all typically reachable within a 15-minute walk or by using the tram from the central station (7 minutes).

The conference will take place at Aarhus University’s new facilities in Universitetsbyen (University City), which forms part of the university’s expanding central campus. The development transforms the former municipal hospital area into a modern university environment designed to be an “open and inviting meeting place” where academic life interacts closely with the surrounding city.
