Hartanto Wijaya Wong is Professor at the Department of Economics and Business Economics at Aarhus University. He holds a PhD in Industrial Management from Katholieke Universitet Leuven (KUL) in Belgium (2004).

Hartanto's primary research focus lies in operations and supply chain management, utilizing a business analytics approach. His research encompasses a variety of topics, including spare parts inventory systems with an emphasis on lateral transshipments, mass customization, product line design, integrated sales and operations planning, and supply chain network design. More recently, his work has increasingly concentrated on supply chain resilience and sustainability.

Hartanto currently teaches various courses including Supply Chain Design & Management, Service Analytics, Category, Stock & Brand Management (Cand. Merc / Masters in Economics and Business Administration), and Operations Management (Executive MBA). In addition, he supervises students at Bachelor’s and Master’s level on various topics related to operations and supply chain management.
