My research focuses on empirical financial economics and household finance. My research in empirical financial economics includes studies of international stock markets, international bond markets, effects of uncertainty, and risk-return trade-off. My research in household finance includes studies of households' investment decisions. 

Teaching activities

I teach courses in financial economics for students in the programs in Economics and Business Economics (HA and cand.merc.) and Economics and Management (ba.oecon. and cand.oecon.) at Aarhus BSS. I also supervise bachelor's projects and master's theses for these students. 


I regularly participate in various national and international committees, including promotion and hiring committees at other universities and governmental committees. In 2021 I was a member of an expert group for evaluating the active management of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global (Norwegian oil fund). I am a board member of Rejsegarantifonden (The Travel Guarantee Fund). 

Job responsibilities

I am the director of studies for the bachelor programs in Economics and Business Administration at Aarhus BSS.
