Dr Viola Burau is Professor of Health Policy and Health Organisation. Her research expertise includes: comparative health systems and policy; health organisation; studies of professions; and qualitative research methods. She heads research on the organizational determinants of social inequalities of health. She is also involved in research on intersectoral coordination of Hospital-at-Home services, health promotion in diabetes, and the organisation of out-of-hours care and rehabilitation in general practice.
