Tobias Skipper Soussi is an External Lecturer at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, Aarhus University. He completed his PhD in Economics and Business Economics from Aarhus University in 2025.
Tobias' research interests revolve around empirical finance and more specifically forecasting, asset pricing, and housing markets. He has a particular interest in how machine learning and modern time-series methods can be used to predict price movements and returns across financial and real asset markets. A central part of his work also involves high-quality micro-level register data, which he uses to study household behavior in asset markets.
Tobias has taught and supervised in various courses in financial economics and econometrics, including Quantitative Financial Economics, where he has served as a supervisor, and Applied Financial Econometrics, where he ran the empirical part of the course. He also co-created and taught Energy Markets. Across these courses, he has taught at both bachelor and master level and supervised numerous theses and bachelor projects.
