Postdoc Saskia Meuchelböck has received a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions postdoctoral fellowship of DKK 1.9 million for her project entitled ”SAIL-GSC: Services, Artificial Intelligence, and Labor Markets: Navigating Firms and Workers through modern Global Supply Chains”.
Services trade has become an increasingly vital component of global supply chains, driven by advancements in information and communication technology. The ongoing technological revolution, particularly the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), holds the potential to further transform services trade. However, largely due to a lack of detailed data, significant gaps remain in our understanding of how services trade interacts with other forms of globalization, such as goods trade, and how it impacts firms and workers. The project aims to address these gaps through rigorous empirical analysis, using firm level data on services trade from Denmark. Associate Professor Michael Koch is supervisor for Saskia on the project.
