Congratulations to Gabriele Mingoli on being awarded a Horizon MSCA postdoctoral fellowship by the European Commission.

His project will develop a novel econometric methodology for electricity price forecasting based on so-called mixed causal–non-causal autoregressive models. Accurate forecasting of electricity prices is essential for energy trading and decision-making, yet modelling such prices is notoriously challenging due to their non-storability, dependence on the transmission grid, meteorological conditions, and a range of other complex factors.

Supported by the Horizon MSCA fellowship, together with additional funding from Independent Research Fund Denmark and Center for Research in Energy: Economics and Markets - CoRE, Gabriele will have four years to carry out postdoctoral research in the econometrics of energy markets.
