CoRE case maker for the Econometric Game 2026
CoRE is proud to serve as case maker for the Econometric Game 2026, held in Amsterdam on 8–10 April at the beautiful Zuiderkerk location.
This year’s competition brings together 30 teams from around the world — 120 talented students competing under intense time pressure for the title of 2026 Econometric Game champions. The case focuses on electricity price model building and forecasting over both short and long horizons, as well as on how the green transition is reshaping electricity price dynamics.
Of the 30 teams, 10 will qualify for the final challenge, where they will produce two research papers over two days to be assessed by the jury committee. The atmosphere is truly dynamic, driven by highly competent and ambitious master’s and graduate students.
The CoRE case maker team consists of Niels Haldrup, Bent Jesper Christensen, Peter Christensen, Gabriele Mingoli, Thomas Kirkegaard Kloster, and Anders Norlyk.
