Saskia's research interests are in global supply chains, firm heterogeneity and the implications of shocks on firms, workers and the aggregate economy. In 2025, she has been awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship by the European Commission for her project titled SAIL-GSC — Services, Artificial Intelligence and Labor Markets: Navigating Firms and Workers through Modern Global Supply Chains. In the project, she examines the role of services trade in global supply chains and its effects on firms and workers using Danish register data.
Saskia teaches "Empirical Industrial Organisation" for Master's students in International Economic Consulting and the PhD course "Research Frontiers in Economics".
Saskia is a member of the Centre for Economic and Firm Research (CEFAU) and a Fellow at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in Germany.
