The Tuborg Research Centre for Globalisation and Firms uses the theories and methods of International Economics, Industrial Organisation, International Business and Economics at large to study globalization and the international activity of firms. With an emphasis on both empirical – typically firm level data driven – research as well as qualitative and theoretical research, the research topics include, global production processes, international trade, firm performance, FDI, firm strategies, economic integration, trade policy, WTO, new open macroeconomics, outsourcing, service export, exchange rates, uncertainty, transaction costs, sector studies.

Before the creation of the Tuborg Research Centre, the research area was covered by the research group GlobID (Globalization and Industry Dynamics).
