How to reduce school absenteeism?

School absenteeism is a complex phenomenon influenced by a number of interlinking factors from different domains. Individual-, parental-, familial-, school-related-, and societal factors have all been identified as risk factors for low school attendance.

School absenteeism is a main predictor for school dropout and for adult psychosocial problems as well.

The aim of this project is to investigate two randomized controlled trials with therapeutic and non-therapeutic interventions aiming at reducing problematic school absence in Danish schoolchildren.

A preliminary study design will be presented with focus on methodological problems.

The seminar is a lunch seminar (lunch is on the house) -
