The Waste Disposal Industry and Market Opening

Se vores nyeste spørgebrevsundersøgelse her

Waste management is a growing and highly complex industry. The project deals with key aspects of the Danish National Waste Disposal System as it is currently governed by a complex web of taxes. The project studies the incentives embedded in such systems and how current and future EU regulation alters the performance of the Industry and/or render the current regulation obsolete. The project endeavours to identify adjustment strategies for the Danish Waste Disposal system and assesses the overall welfare impact. The research is based on industrial economics approaches, cost-benefit analyses and environmental economics. This project is financed by the Municipality of Aarhus and is part of a larger project including legal aspects of the Danish Waste Disposal System. The project is conducted jointly with the Department of Law at the School of Business and Social Sciences.
