Economics and management graduate of the year
Heidi Christina Thysen has just been named economics and management graduate of the year by a committee in the Oecon Association. Heidi received the award in recognition of her great and unselfish contribution to various student associations, which has benefitted all Master’s degree students in Sociology and in Economics and Management at Aarhus BSS.
When Heidi Christina Thysen received the title as economics and management graduate of the year this weekend, the diploma read as follows:
“Heidi Christina Thysen has been named economics and management graduate of the year in recognition of her unselfish, constructive and extremely thorough work in a long list of voluntary associations and forums during her studies. Heidi’s work began almost at the same time as she enrolled on the programme, and her work has been noted by fellow students as well as employees at the university, who have recommended Heidi for the award.
And Heidi receives a lot of accolades. She has been a respected and hard-working member of the Study Board for Economics and Management, where she has worked to create a good study environment for all students. It has also been important for her to ensure that the initiatives and opinions of the Oecon Council represent all students regardless of their academic interest and level.
In addition, Heidi also excels academically. This has come across in her work as a research assistant, as an instructor and, last but not least, in her employment as a PhD student at the Department of Economics and Business Economics.
Each year, the Oecon Association presents an award to the economics and management graduate of the year. The award is given to a graduate who has contributed to creating an inspiring and vibrant study environment, in which specific academic as well as social initiatives have had a positive effect on the degree programme.
