Title: Examining multiple risks in a national cohort of Danish people recently discharged from psychiatric inpatient care

Abstract: Persons discharged from inpatient psychiatric care are known to be at elevated risk for multiple adverse events. To date, adverse outcomes after discharge have predominantly been examined as separate events in individual cohorts, not allowing the comparison of risks.  Using Danish national register data, an array of fatal and non-fatal adverse outcomes was examined in one large cohort. This research was conducted as part of a PhD program at the University of Manchester in collaboration with the National Centre for Register-based Research (NCRR), Aarhus University.
